Postdoctoral Position in Neural Stem Cell Biology

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Fellow to join our dynamic research team. The Yu lab is interested in using mouse and human cerebral organoid models to understand the mechanisms of neural stem cell proliferation, neuronal differentiation and remodelling, and their implications in neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders.


The successful candidate will explore the causative functions of autism risk genes using patient-derived cerebral organoids.

Our team is led by Dr Yu, a Senior Principal Investigator at Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory Limited. Dr Yu has published important papers in prestigious scientific journals including Nature, Cell Biology, Nature Neuroscience, Neuron, Developmental Cell, PLOS Biology, EMBO J, PNAS and Cell Reports.


Requirements
  • A PhD degree in Neurobiology or Cell biology
  • At least one first-author research paper in an international peer-reviewed journal
  • A strong research background in neuronal cell biology, iPSC or brain organoids and mouse model systems
  • Prior experience in mammalian model systems would be preferred
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for neuronal development and human brain diseases are encouraged to apply
