Postdoctoral Research Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to our research team in understanding mechanisms of neural stem cell proliferation, neuronal differentiation and remodelling. This knowledge has significant implications in neurodevelopmental disorders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Investigate the causative functions of autism risk genes using patient-derived cerebral organoids
  • Develop and maintain mouse and human cerebral organoid models
  • Analyse experimental data to gain insights into neural development and disease
Requirements:
  • Hold a PhD Degree in Neurobiology and Cell biology
  • Have at least one first-author research paper published in an international peer-reviewed journal
  • Possess a strong research background in neuronal cell biology, iPSC or brain organoids and mouse model systems
  • Experience with mammalian model systems would be advantageous
  • Be highly motivated and enthusiastic in the field of neuronal development and human brain diseases
