Job Title: Aerospace Technology Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to lead technology initiatives with knowledge and expertise on the development of new inspections, processes, and methods for engine overhaul and component repair capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of disciplines such as automation, materials, and/or aerodynamics in support of deployment of new capability of the full product life-cycle.

The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders and functions to identify and implement new repair development and/or cost reduction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate problem definition and requirements capture skills to develop and formulate technology problem statements from operational stakeholders.
  • Work closely with other functions and customers to identify and implement new repair development and/or cost reduction projects.
  • Provide technical leadership for processes like adaptive machining, automation or robotics and driving new process introduction in shop floor – aligned to future direction for developing strategic repairs within this region.
  • Be responsible for defined technical packages of work, providing leadership and delivery against programme milestones within agreed costs, timescales and quality requirements.
  • Understand current operational flow of engine overhaul process, and evaluate novel methods for improving turn around times, and efficiency improvements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience – preferable in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in robotics, machining or analytics, or development of new capabilities will be advantageous.
  • Strong Problem-solving capabilities, along with effective communication skills.
  • An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to a range of technical problems.
  • Good global communication and presentation skills and have the ability to develop strong relationship across multiple functions, partners, suppliers and cultures.
