Position Overview:

The Compliance and Reporting Officer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effective tracking and monitoring of essential documentation and the status of loans and financing. This role encompasses the management of cancellation, release, rework cases, and covenant compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely reconciliation of Sundry Creditors General Ledger in line with established Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Turnaround Times (TAT).
  • Maintain and update all relevant Registers accurately and promptly.
  • Facilitate the timely submission of monthly reports to various Business Units, including Credit Review Reports, Syndicated Loan Reports, and other loan-related documentation.
  • Coordinate the Amendment for Justification Template and CCRIS reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Address Audit Matters and queries promptly, ensuring that the Unit Head or Section Head is informed as necessary.
  • Manage compliance-related activities, including mandatory training and Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), ensuring all inquiries and requests are handled within the designated timelines.
  • Submit Risk Dashboard Reports on a monthly basis in a timely manner.
  • Review and report on the department's End User Development Application (EUDA) inventory promptly.
  • Report Operational Risk Events (ORE) in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to process enhancements aimed at improving productivity and service quality for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in project initiatives and other ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Team Lead.

Qualifications:

  • A University Degree or Diploma is required.
  • Experience in Credit Administration or Operations within a banking environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated initiative, drive, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Attention to detail, with a neat and meticulous approach to work.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess a positive attitude along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Performance and quality-oriented.
  • Willingness to extend working hours when necessary.
