Key Responsibilities
  • Orientate patients to assigned beds and facilities, ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing stress.
  • Respond to patient calls and relay requests to the relevant department, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Attend to patients' basic needs, including toileting, bathing, and serving meals and drinks, promoting a comfortable and dignified experience.
  • Conduct regular bedpan and urinal rounds, changing diapers as needed, and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Assist patients with walking to the toilet and provide support during bathroom visits, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Monitor restless patients and take necessary steps to ensure their safety and comfort, providing reassurance and support when needed.
  • Chaperone female patients as required, upholding confidentiality and respect for patient dignity.
  • Clean spillages, discharges, and vomit bowls, urinals, and other areas as needed, maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
  • Ensure the tidiness and cleanliness of beds, lockers, and non-patient rooms, including the storage room, promoting a safe and healthy environment.
  • Assist with inventory management of linen and department items, such as flasks, pillows, and bedpans, ensuring accurate tracking and ordering.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Superior, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.
