As a Quality Control Shift Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations in the Quality Control department.

You will manage directly and closely support quality inspectors in all areas, assist the QC Manager to build-up a team of competent QC inspectors, and monitor and control daily activities of quality inspection, testing, documentation review.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control and be familiar with computers and various software programs.

  • About the Role: As a Quality Control Shift Lead, you will be responsible for supervising shift personnel in the quality control department, troubleshooting problems on the shop floor, maintaining close observation of quality requirements, promoting and supporting site initiatives, and recommending measures to motivate team members.
  • Key Responsibilities: Routinely evaluate team member performance, identify training needs, coach and counsel team members, participate in the resolution of team member relations issues, review and approve work time, maintain and verify accuracy of hours worked, initiate nonconformance reports, recommend corrective actions, determine product acceptability, create, utilize, and maintain testing result forms, develop sampling plans and activities, author quality notifications, support review of batch production records, and ensure compliance with quality system documents, cGMPs, ISO standards, and FDA regulations.
  • Requirements: Associate's Degree in Technical or Engineering required, Bachelor's Degree preferred, 5 years of previous experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, experience in FDA regulated environment preferred, familiarity with computers and various software programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Master-control, SAP, ability to comply with company's safety policy, and support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities.
