Engineering Innovation Leader

Seagate Technology seeks an experienced engineer to lead innovation in sputter equipment engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with expertise in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high vacuum CVD/PVD systems.

The role requires excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage projects and teams effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Engineering or a relevant field, with at least 5 years of experience in installing and maintaining high vacuum CVD/PVD systems. Knowledge of Thin Film, PVD, CVD, Etch, Ion Beam, Ion Implantation, and Ultra-High Vacuum tools is highly desirable.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage projects to ensure timely completion within stipulated schedules.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain state-of-the-art sputter systems.
  • Actively participate in technical meetings and discussions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve both mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Generate comprehensive reports, including daily updates, issue logs, and Closed Loop Corrective Actions (CLCA).
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Software, Process, Launch, Maintenance, and Equipment Development Engineering.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance system performance and refine working protocols.
