Behaviour Therapy Specialist

The Behaviour Therapy Specialist is responsible for creating and implementing personalised intervention plans using evidence-based therapies. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to track client progress and update intervention plans to achieve desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention plans utilising established therapeutic methods
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
  • Monitor client progress and modify intervention plans accordingly
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, including treatment documentation and progress notes
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with best practices in behaviour therapy
Requirements:
  • Nitec in Special Education or Education of Psychology
  • Strong understanding of best practices in inclusive and special education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
  • Experience working with autistic children/preschoolers preferred
  • Prior experience applying ABA principles preferred
  • Immediate availability advantageous
