Job Title: Financial Support Specialist

The Financial Support Specialist will play a pivotal role in the finance team, providing assistance with various tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions accurately and timely.
  • Verify supplier invoices, employee expense claims, and client billing documents.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, both digital and physical filing systems.
  • File and archive client contracts, vendor agreements, and financial documents.
  • Assist in internal finance audits by preparing supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile bank statements and petty cash transactions.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with established accounting standards.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments on finance-related matters.
  • Offer ad hoc support for financial projects when required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduates welcome).
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, including AP/AR, invoicing, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to handle confidential information discreetly.
