Job Opportunity: Head of Trade

About the Role:

The Head of Trade will be responsible for driving commercial strategy and execution across key trade lanes. This role combines commercial ownership, pricing, yield management, forecasting, equipment planning, and P&L responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute trade strategies to drive business growth and revenue
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable contracts and agreements
  • Manage trade development and P&L responsibilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Network, Operations, and Finance teams to achieve shared goals

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in container shipping, ideally with carrier experience, and proven expertise in Transpacific and/or Latin American markets.

  • Experience: 15+ years in container shipping
  • Expertise: Transpacific and/or Latin American markets
  • Skills: Strong strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability, forecasting, containerization, sales, profit and loss management, capacity utilization, container shipment, pricing strategy, storage capacity planning, and strategy
