Procurement and Cost Management Expert

Job Summary:

  • This role involves overseeing the procurement process to ensure compliance with standards.
  • It also entails managing project costs, identifying areas for cost reduction, and developing strategies to enhance the overall value of the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  2. Assess and manage project risks to maintain workplace safety and ensure compliance with regulations.
  3. Collaborate with management, contractors, and subcontractors to negotiate adjustments to cost estimates.
  4. Conduct thorough negotiations to resolve issues during the project course.
  5. Control project scope to meet objectives, enhance deliverables, and key work activities.
  6. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and develop strategies to maximize project value.
  7. Monitor project costs to ensure objectives are achieved in accordance with building contract law.
  8. Oversee compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  9. Prepare tender and contract documents in line with construction regulations.
  10. Provide advice on contractual claims to effectively manage project scope.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Additionally, they should have a strong background in quantity surveying, construction, and civil engineering, with expertise in procurement, cost control, and compliance.
