Electrical Systems Design Specialist

An Electrical Systems Design Specialist plays a pivotal role in the creation, development, and implementation of electrical systems for various applications. This encompasses conceptual and detailed design, selection of components, power distribution, and wiring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, integrate, and test electrical systems including selection of components, power distribution, and wiring.
  • Source and manage suppliers/OEMs for power design & implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that electrical systems meet design requirements.
  • Develop and maintain electrical system specifications, design documents, and technical documentation.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve design issues and technical problems related to electrical systems.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including safety standards.
  • Perform hands-on fitting, assembly, and installation of electrical components on site, including repair and maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  • Good technical skills, creativity in problem-solving, and strong reasoning ability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks Electrical is preferable.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel as required.
