Job Title: Senior Community Director


You are a compassionate leader with experience in gerontology and management.
We seek an exceptional professional to oversee our Active Ageing Centres, driving the delivery of high-quality programs and services for seniors. As a Senior Community Director, you will be responsible for the overall management of our centres, including program planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work closely with staff, volunteers, and external partners to ensure that our services meet the needs of our beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities:

  • ​

    Program Management:

    • Develop and implement program plans and strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
    • Manage resources to ensure effective and efficient use of funds.
    • Collaborate with staff and external partners to deliver high-quality programs and services.

  • ​

    Staff Supervision:

    • Serve as a mentor and coach to staff members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.

  • ​

    Community Engagement:

    • Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including service providers, government agencies, and local organizations.
    • Foster partnerships to leverage resources and expertise to benefit our organization and the community.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold a degree from a recognized institution, preferably in the area of gerontology, geriatrics, nursing, allied health and/or social work.
  • Have at least three years' experience in a supervisory position.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and management skills, with experience in team building and staff development.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Be able to analyze problems and develop solutions, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
