Job Summary

The Uniform Attendant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of uniforms across the hotel. Reporting to the Assistant Housekeeper, this individual will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend pre-shift meetings to receive uniform requirements and cleaning instructions.
  • Ensure uniforms are collected, sorted, and cleaned according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all uniforms, guaranteeing sufficient supplies for staff members.
  • Inspect uniforms for damages, coordinating necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Distribute folded and organized uniforms on time to respective departments.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the uniform storage area, ensuring easy access to uniforms.
  • Monitor uniform cleanliness throughout the day, performing touch-ups as needed.
  • Manage laundry requests, ensuring items are properly sorted, washed, dried, and ironed.
  • Oversee the inventory of cleaning supplies and detergents used for uniform maintenance.
  • Ensure timely return of uniforms to staff members.
  • Report any uniform-related issues, including missing items, defects, or complaints, to the Assistant Housekeeper immediately.
  • Maintain laundry equipment in good working condition and report malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols related to uniform storage and handling.
  • Follow workplace safety and security policies and report accidents, injuries, or incidents to the security team immediately.
  • Participate in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Physical fitness due to constant movement and handling of heavy uniform items.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing uniform inventory and ensuring timely distribution.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues across departments.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Flexibility with working days and hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Positive service-oriented attitude with a focus on team collaboration.
