Key Leadership Role in Equities Operations

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our equities operations team, overseeing trade capture, confirmation, and settlement processes.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the investment management industry, with expertise in hedge funds, equities, and derivatives. They will work closely with front office teams to resolve trade breaks and discrepancies, driving operational efficiency through best practice process reviews and implementations.

This senior role requires strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels. The successful candidate will also have experience in leading change initiatives and implementing process improvements, as well as leadership capabilities with experience in managing and developing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee middle office equities operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in trade capture, confirmation, and settlement.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the front office and support functions to resolve trade breaks, discrepancies, and exceptions.
  • Drive operational efficiency by reviewing, enhancing, and implementing best practice processes.
  • Manage complex products including hedge funds, equities, and derivatives, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to enhance workflows, improve system capabilities, and deliver automation solutions.
  • Maintain strong and collaborative relationships with senior front office stakeholders, providing timely updates, insights, and solutions.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement culture.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in middle office operations within the investment management sector.
  • Strong product knowledge in hedge funds, equities, and derivatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Proven track record of working directly with front office teams in fast-paced trading environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the trade lifecycle, market regulations, and operational risk controls.
  • Experience in leading change initiatives and implementing process improvements.
  • Leadership capabilities with experience in managing and developing teams.
