Job Role:

The Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures.

Key responsibilities include receiving, checking, and rejecting unsuitable lab specimens, performing basic to moderate lab tests, entering and retrieving data, preparing reagents, and alerting senior staff of critical test results or equipment issues.

Additional duties include responding to queries from doctors, nurses, or other departments, carrying out preventive maintenance, monitoring and requesting restocking of lab supplies, and supporting and training junior staff.

Requirements include a minimum Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science or Biomedical Science, 0-2 years of clinical laboratory experience, and good laboratory skills. A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work independently are also required.
