The role of Director – Commodity Trading is a high-impact leadership position that encompasses the development and implementation of commodity trading strategies across multiple commodities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute global trading strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Drive business growth and market penetration across regions and commodity sectors.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow high-performance trading, operations, and analytics teams.

This involves overseeing day-to-day physical and derivative trading operations across commodities, managing trading books, risk exposures, and real-time profit and loss. The individual will also utilize market intelligence, pricing models, and macroeconomic trends to inform trading decisions.

Supply Chain Development

Establish and manage end-to-end supply chain capabilities, from sourcing to delivery. This includes building operational infrastructure to support scalable and efficient commodity flow, as well as driving logistics planning, warehousing, and distribution strategy to support trading activities.

Risk Management & Compliance

Implement and oversee risk control frameworks to manage exposure across credit, market, and operational risks. Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure full regulatory adherence.

Commercial Development

Financial Accountability
