Seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Research Assistant.

">Job Description

The ideal candidate will work with Prof Christoph Winkler and Prof Lior David on research projects under the Singapore Aquaculture Solution Center initiative.

  • Conduct life science related R&D experiments and routine operations, focusing on aquaculture such as husbandry, fish breeding, developmental biology, transcriptomics, molecular biology techniques, operation optimization, diagnostics, health, and genetics.
  • Collaborate with project leaders to achieve research objectives.
  • Mentor students in final year projects, internships, short-term attachments, and similar programs.
  • Support consumable procurement and lab management.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, conducting, and coordinating research activities, including experiment design, data collection, and analysis.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, students, and external partners.

Provide guidance and support to students and junior researchers.

Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

">Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Aquaculture, Agriculture, or Molecular Biology is required.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.

Proficiency in IT skills, laboratory techniques, and documentation is necessary.

Experience in aquaculture operations and/or research is an added advantage.
