Job Title: Senior Technical Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Professional to join our team. As a Technical Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance of our vessel fleet.

This involves overseeing technical budgets, maintenance strategies, fleet integrity, and team leadership, driving continuous improvement to maximize vessel uptime and operational performance.

The position requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective maintenance policies, monitor compliance, and optimize schedules to minimize downtime.

You will also be responsible for defining, controlling, and reporting on operational and capital expenditure budgets, as well as identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing effective maintenance policies and procedures;
  • Monitoring compliance with Class, Flag, and QHSE regulations;
  • Optimizing maintenance schedules to minimize downtime;
  • Defining and controlling operational and capital expenditure budgets;
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or performance;
  • Fostering a safety-first culture and mentoring technical staff.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in technical management, with experience in maintenance strategy, budgeting, and team leadership.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a safety-first culture and mentor and develop technical staff.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment and be able to work effectively in a team setting.
