Service Consultant Job Description

The primary role of a Service Consultant is to provide exceptional customer service and support in regards to vehicle damage claims. They will be responsible for liaising with insurance companies, surveyors, and other stakeholders to resolve claims efficiently.

  • Liaise with Insurance or Survey: The Service Consultant will communicate with insurance companies and surveyors to determine the extent of damage and facilitate the repair process.
  • Assist Customer: They will work closely with customers to file accident reports, prepare quotations for submission to insurers, and keep them updated on claim progress.
  • Follow Up On Clearance And Approval: The consultant will ensure that all necessary clearances and approvals are obtained from relevant parties, including liability clearance, claim acceptance, and repair authorization.
  • Update Customer On Claim Submission Outcome: They will keep customers informed about the outcome of their claim submissions and provide regular updates on repair progress.
  • Sort And Prepare Documents: The Service Consultant will organize and prepare all necessary documents related to own damage, windscreen, and third-party claims.
  • Claim Authorization: They will follow up on claim authorizations, replacement parts availability, and the repair process to ensure timely completion.
  • Advise And Assist Admin: The consultant will collaborate with administrative staff to ensure seamless communication and efficient processing of claims.
