Data Science ImpactThe Data Insights Expert drives business value across the full workflow of data science: from collaborating with stakeholders to defining projects, to data collection and processing, exploratory analysis, model selection and tuning, and implementation of production models or custom visualizations.
Extracting value from complex data is essential, and experience exploring and extracting insights from data is just as important as building complex models. A good visualization is often key to driving business outcomes with data.
The data we work with is often messy, and a successful Data Insights Expert must be willing to delve into the data to achieve results.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with traders, brokers, analysts, and researchers to understand internal models and business problems.
- Relate effortlessly with the commercial side of the business, finding new ways to apply AI/DS for value creation.
- Explore new datasets, extract insights, and visualize results.
- Standardize and structure data in clear, extensible ways.
- Apply machine learning models to heterogeneous data sets to optimize businesses.
- Review code and experimental design for high production quality.
- Build data expertise with domain experts on specific aspects of operations.
- Implement models and custom visualizations to drive business value.
- Degree in a STEM subject with coding best practices.
- 3-5+ years as a data scientist with machine learning models applied to real-world data.
- Presentation experience with complex data visually.
- Experience exploring heterogeneous multi-dimensional data sets.
- Fluency in Python with clean, modular code writing skills.
- Attention to detail.
