Reliability Specialist

Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to provide expert on-site support and guarantee the reliability of mechanical seals for clients in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to ensure seamless seal installation and removal processes.
  • Conduct site assessments and inspections to identify potential issues with pump and seal performance.
  • Support the commissioning of seal systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform thorough equipment checks before seal installation.
  • Identify preventive measures to minimize seal failures, including temperature and pressure monitoring.
  • Coordinate seal activation and tracking to optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure timely repairs of seals and monitor their performance.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and analyze failure causes.
  • Investigate root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and analyze reliability data to inform decision-making.
  • Communicate with stakeholders through regular meetings and report preparation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-8 years of experience in mechanical seal installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Sound knowledge of pumps and mechanical seals in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
  • API Standards expertise.
  • Field experience in condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis and ultra-sound analysis.
