Video Finishing Specialist

**Job Overview**
We are seeking an experienced Video Finishing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality media to clients.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Pictures Conform: Align source media with precise timing, ensuring seamless playback on various platforms.
- Sounds Conform: Replace offline sound design with final programme stems, maintaining consistency across different formats.
- Dialogue Editing: Fine-tune audio levels and remove unwanted noise or distortion.
- Content Reframing: Prepare content for diverse aspect ratios and platforms, guaranteeing optimal visual appeal.
- Fine Picture Quality Control: Precisely place bugs and adhere to platform or broadcast safe zones, ensuring a polished finish.
- Fine Sound Quality Control: Identify unclear dialogue in mix and loudness specifications, guaranteeing optimal listening experience.
- AUDIO STEM QC: Detect additional, misplaced or missing sound content in stems.
- Localisation Metadata: Verify EDL/XML file references, timecodes, track order, and filenames for accurate delivery.
- Containerising multi-channel stems for delivery: Ensure hassle-free distribution to clients.
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- 3-7 years of relevant conform and finishing experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- In-depth understanding of video & sound encoding, broadcast & cinema delivery formats.
- Highly organised project bins, timeline layers & tracks, and file management.
- Portfolio submission required.
**Ideal Candidate Profile**
- Colour correction & grading expertise.
- Mentoring assistant editors.
- Sound mix and mastering knowledge.
- Familiarity with IMF & DCP.
- Experience with OMF and AAF interchange formats.
