Environmental Acoustics Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Acoustics Specialist to lead projects on Noise, Vibration and Building Acoustics. This role involves working closely with Project Managers and Directors to deliver complex projects.

  • Contribute to environmental projects in Singapore, SE Asia, and Asia on the Noise and Vibration components;
  • Support in conducting Building Acoustics assessments;
  • Be responsible for writing/mentoring and reviewing reports and associated technical output with multinational clients and government agencies;
  • Participate in key activities associated with the development of the Noise/Vibration and Building Acoustics disciplines;
  • Attend weekly team meetings and participate in technical knowledge transfer sessions and conferences;
  • Perform site visits/inspections/assessments and supervise subcontractors as required for the projects handled;
  • Support other projects in Singapore and other regions as and when required;
  • Support team managers in project and proposal management as well as administrative duties.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Acoustics, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related disciplines (e.g., Civil engineering, Building Physics etc.);
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in contributing to noise and vibration chapters in Environmental Impact Assessments, Noise and Vibration Impact Assessments (ideally, for major infrastructure projects and manufacturing/chemical process industries) and Building Acoustics assessments;
  • Preferable to have knowledge of SoundPlan/CadnaA for environmental noise modeling, EASE/ODEON for room acoustics modeling;
  • Graphics skills such as CAD, GIS, Photoshop, will be highly regarded;
  • Knowledge of local and international acoustics codes, laws and regulations will be highly regarded;
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills;
  • Possess a track record of winning work, conducting business development and delivering significant value and successful project outcomes.
