**System Engineer Role Overview:**

A System Engineer with a focus on navigational and radar systems is required to maintain the highest state of availability and readiness of systems onboard naval platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the superintendent to ensure the optimal functioning of navigational and radar systems onboard vessels, workshops, and shipyards.
  • Perform maintenance tasks on navigational and radar systems onboard vessels, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshoot defects in navigational and radar systems, utilizing technical expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Install and remove equipment and systems, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Refurbish electronics units and assemblies, enhancing system performance and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum diploma in a relevant discipline, such as engineering or IT.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering, IT, or equivalent fields, with a focus on navigational, radar, and networking systems.
  • Experience with navigational, radar, and networking systems, preferably in a naval-related environment.
  • Naval-related maintenance or training certifications are advantageous.
  • Good working knowledge and experience working on commercial and military vessels.
  • Ability to adapt to changes well, prioritizing flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work well in a team and independently, fostering collaboration and efficient communication.
  • Comfortable with heights and working onboard naval platforms, adhering to safety guidelines.
