Electronics Specialist

Join a dynamic team and embark on an exciting career journey as an Electronics Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing troubleshooting, installation, removal, modifications, maintenance, and repair of designated equipment either on shore or onboard vessels. This includes indenting or sourcing for spares and consumables, responding to RFQs, providing service reports, and performing administrative closure of jobs. You will also perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting, installation, removal, modifications, maintenance, and repair of designated equipment.
  • Indent or source for spares and consumables.
  • Respond to RFQs.
  • Provide service reports.
  • Perform administrative closure of jobs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Period:
  • 1 year contract (renewable).


Location:
  • Changi / Tuas.
  • Shuttle service to and from Tuas Naval Base at Joo Koon MRT (AM and PM).
  • Shuttle service to and from Changi Naval Base at Simei and Tanah Merah MRT (AM and PM).


Working Hours:
  • Monday to Friday (8am to 5.30pm).


Requirements:
  • ITE or diploma in electronics engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in navigation & radar equipment troubleshooting and servicing.
  • A good team player who is hands-on and meticulous.
  • Able to read and interpret schematics and tech drawings.
  • Able to perform field work onboard vessels and ship yard.
  • Able to carry out testing, repair, and inspection of the below list of equipment:ECDIS System
    Radar system
    Speed log equipment
    Echo sounder equipment
    Transmitting magnetic compass system
