Healthcare Assistant at Day Care Centre

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at the Day Care Centre. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients who require assistance with their daily living activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing day care services to clients by assisting in their personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Portering clients between drop-off points and the centre, as well as to and from rehabilitation sessions.
  • Helping clients settle down upon arrival at the centre.
  • Serving meals to clients and supervising their consumption.
  • Supervising and/or assisting clients in various activities.
  • Assisting clients who require minimal supervision during toileting.
  • Assisting clients to settle down for a nap after lunch.
  • Assisting in the mobility of clients.
  • Portering clients to and from rehabilitation sessions.
  • Conducting group programmes and activities for clients under the supervision of therapists.
  • Participating in in-service training programmes designed for upgrading staff skills.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping and carrying out other duties as assigned from time to time.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • NITEC in Nursing.
  • Prior experience as a Healthcare Assistant.
  • Able to commit to at least 6 months.
  • Comfortable working with elderly clients.
Benefits
