Job Role: Senior Childcare Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Childcare Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Teaching and caring for a class of children, ensuring high-quality learning and care takes place.
  • Maintaining professional dialogue with colleagues regarding the children, parents, other colleagues, and school.
  • Managing the classroom effectively, including planning and implementing educational activities.
  • Observing and recording children's holistic development, keeping accurate records of achievement for each child in class and providing individual portfolios/reports.
  • Fostering positive relationships with parents, building trust and confidence in your ability to provide exceptional care and education.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances.
  • At least one of the following Early Childhood certifications: Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY), Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC), Dpt/DPL Certificate (L1 or L2), L2/L1 Certified English Language Teacher, or L2 Certified Chinese Language Teacher.
  • Registration with ECDA as EY1 or EY2, or L2 or L1.
