Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate culinary professional to join our kitchen team as a Culinary Specialist. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dishes while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute dishes according to our restaurant's recipes and quality standards.
  • Manage a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring all food is prepared efficiently and consistently.
  • Supervise and guide kitchen staff, ensuring proper techniques and hygiene practices are followed.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Assist in menu development, including testing new dishes and making improvements based on feedback.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the Head Chef regarding stock needs.
  • Ensure that all food preparation and storage meet the required safety and hygiene standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely and high-quality service.
  • Adapt to changing kitchen demands and maintain composure during busy service periods.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a culinary specialist or sous chef in a high-volume restaurant or bistro.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican cuisine is a plus.
  • Passion for food, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
