Lead a Team of Innovators at Panasonic R&D Center Singapore

We are seeking an exceptional leader to spearhead the daily operations and strategic growth of our organization. As a Senior Manager, you will oversee the management team and drive innovation across various functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement long-term strategies in collaboration with senior executives to ensure alignment with company vision and objectives
  • Lead the senior management team in implementing business plans, policies, and strategies to drive growth and profitability
  • Cultivate a positive corporate culture, motivate employees, and foster effective communication across all levels
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, including business partners and government bodies, to drive business development and expand market presence
  • Maintain financial health by working closely with the finance team to create and manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and review financial statements
  • Monitor financial performance, optimize profitability, cost-efficiency, and growth through data-driven decision-making
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the board of directors on company performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives
  • Make critical decisions regarding operational improvements and explore new business opportunities to drive growth and improve competitive advantage
  • Foster a culture of innovation to stay ahead of changing market demands and technological advancements
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and build long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master/PhD degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline, with senior management background
  • Proficient in Japanese language, at least JLPT N1 level, for liaison with Japan HQ and translation of Japanese documents to English and vice versa (business level)
  • Familiar with Japanese firm operations and at least 5 years of experience dealing with Japanese customers
  • Extensive leadership experience in senior manager roles
  • Knowledge in technology and experience in multiple functions to understand the broader business
  • Ability to lead, set clear goals, and manage people and processes effectively
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems, strategic thinking for long-term vision, market dynamics, deep understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and managing profitability
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, for negotiation and communication with all stakeholders
  • Proven results in previous roles, especially in driving growth, profitability, or operational excellence
