Administrative Support for Shipping Projects

The role of an Administrator in our shipping department requires a professional to provide administrative support for various shipping projects. This involves order processing, preparation of shipping documents, invoices, and other necessary paperwork.

  • Responsibilities include:
    • Conducting scheduling and coordination of all administrative and logistical matters related to shipping projects.
    • Dealing with quotes from prospective shippers and handling claims with insurance companies in the event of any shipment problems.
    • Generating invoices, delivery orders, and shipping documentation including Certificate of Origin/Beneficiary's certificate & LC documents.
    • Coordinating with forwarders and suppliers on import/direct shipment arrangements.
    • Following up on export shipment documentation, customer payments, and release credit limit blocks.
    • Performing stock counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
    • Handling permit declarations via TradeNet.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in shipping is required.
  • Preferably with experience in import/export, TradeNet, and knowledge of customs regulations.
  • Letter of Credit knowledge is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
