Job Title: Financial Compliance Head

In this pivotal role, you will lead our financial compliance team in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across multiple markets. Your expertise in developing and maintaining compliance frameworks will be instrumental in advising internal stakeholders on strategic matters and regulatory strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • You will manage a team of professionals responsible for spearheading market entry in new territories for our e-commerce platforms.
  • Lead regulatory engagements and coordinate the preparation of license applications to ensure timely and quality advice.
  • Provide expert guidance on payments/financial services regulatory matters and assist in the development and rollout of new products and features.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain group compliance frameworks, including technology risk, business continuity, outsourcing, human resources, privacy, and consumer protection policies.
  • Coordinate incident management, prepare for and manage audits and inspections by relevant regulators, and implement group-wide financial compliance programs and training.
Qualifications:
  • At least 15 years of financial regulatory experience, preferably with extensive experience at a financial regulator in Southeast Asia or at a FinTech/international technology company.
  • A working knowledge of the three FinTech domains - payments, lending, and insurance - is an added advantage.
  • Extensive experience interacting with regulators across Southeast Asia and a track record of leadership, influencing, independent thought, and ability to manage C-suite stakeholders.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-lingual and multi-cultural startup environment where ambiguity and change are the norm.
Key Skills:

Familiarity with Southeast Asian regulations, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
