The Climate Transformation Program seeks a Research Fellow to contribute to its mission of developing, inspiring, and accelerating knowledge-based solutions for a stable climate and environment in Southeast Asian societies.

As part of the program's Cross-Cutting Theme 1: Sustainable Societies, this role will leverage research in communication, public opinion, and psychology to shape attitudes and behaviors towards climate change issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting literature searches and preparing manuscripts.
  • Developing and implementing surveys with the public.
  • Conducting statistical analyses with survey data.
  • Engaging in VR app development and implementation.
  • Conceptualizing, designing, and implementing experiments.
  • Conducting statistical analyses with experimental data.
  • Contributing to research publications and presentations.
  • Writing progress reports and final research reports.

Requirements include:

  • A PhD degree in communication, psychology, sociology, or a social science related discipline.
  • A strong foundation in survey research, VR app development, experimental research, and analytical skills.
  • The ability to work independently in a multi-cultural team environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in survey research and VR app development.
  • An internationally recognized research track record as evidenced by journal publications and conference presentations.
