Freelance Occupational Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Freelance Occupational Therapist to work with children in Singapore, helping them develop essential skills for independent living and daily participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and functional performance in children.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans addressing each child's unique needs and goals, ensuring consistent progress and optimal outcomes.
  • Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions focusing on daily living skills, motor coordination, sensory integration, and play skills, promoting engagement and participation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with families, caregivers, and professionals to ensure seamless support and effective strategies across various environments.
  • Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, adapting therapy plans as necessary to achieve desired results.
  • Stay updated on current trends and best practices in occupational therapy and special education, driving continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore.
  • Proven experience working with children with developmental delays, disabilities, or special needs, particularly in one-to-one settings.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, sensory integration, and occupational therapy interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach to working with children and their families.
  • Ability to work independently, customising therapy plans based on each child's progress and needs.
