Early Childhood Care Specialist Job Description

The Allied Infant Educarer, also known as an Early Childhood Care Specialist, plays a vital role in providing holistic care and education to infants in a preschool setting.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Attend to the health, hygiene, and safety needs of infants.
  • Assist in providing routine care such as bathing, feeding, diapering, toileting, dressing, and napping.
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote children's exploratory behaviour, thinking, and learning.
  • Supervise infants at all times and provide a safe environment for them to learn and grow.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Prior childcare experience is essential.
  • A strong understanding of child development principles is necessary.
  • The ability to work well independently and as part of a team is required.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with parents and colleagues are essential.
