Experienced Meat Cutter

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Meat Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
">- Cut, trim, debone, and prepare different types of meats (beef & lamb) according to specifications.
- Ensure all meat products are stored, handled, and displayed in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Weigh, package, label, and price meat products for retail sale.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment.
- Provide expert recommendations to customers on meat selection, storage, and cooking methods.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering stock to ensure product availability.
- Adhere to company policies, health, and safety guidelines at all times.
- Assist in minimizing waste by utilizing proper cutting and portioning techniques.
- Train and mentor junior staff members when required.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Prior experience as a butcher or in a similar meat-cutting role.
- Strong knowledge of meat quality, cuts, and preparation techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting (meat carcasses, equipment, etc.).
- Certification in food hygiene and safety is an advantage.
