Procurement Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced procurement leader to join our team as a Vice President/Senior Vice President.

This is a strategic role that involves developing and implementing procurement strategies for indirect categories, with a focus on IT procurement. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to drive change and improvement within our organization.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories, with a focus on IT procurement.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to understand their priorities and meet their procurement needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and risk teams, to ensure smooth delivery of procurement outcomes.
  • Develop and sustain collaborative relationships with strategic suppliers, ensuring service delivery and competitive pricing.
  • Oversee management and execution of the IT category by keeping abreast of the market and identifying opportunities for value creation for the business.
  • Champion initiatives to improve the team or procurement outcomes through process improvements or adoption of digital/AI solutions.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team of category managers/strategic sourcing professionals.
  • Influence and partner stakeholders to ensure governance and control requirements, adherence to corporate policies, and best practices.

Key qualifications include:

  • Good degree with >15 years of relevant work experience relating to the job description. Experience in indirect categories and IT procurement is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with internal stakeholders at varying levels in the organization.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Structured thought process, excellent planning, and organizational ability.
  • Passionate about exploring and learning new skills and knowledge.
