Fire Safety Professional

As a key member of our fire safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of people and property. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and monitor fire control room systems, including all fire detection and suppression systems as per standard operating procedures.

You will conduct regular fire safety patrols of assigned areas, inspecting escape routes, firefighting equipment, and hazardous material storage. In the event of a fire alarm activation or emergency, you will respond promptly and support the on-site incident commander in firefighting and evacuation efforts.

Additional duties include serving as a firewatcher during hot work operations, ensuring proper permits and safety checks are in place and maintained, and reporting, recording, and communicating all fire safety incidents, defects, and operational irregularities to relevant authorities and stakeholders.

You will also maintain accurate patrol records, incident logbooks, and assist in equipment readiness and maintenance follow-ups. Upholding discipline, proper attire, and professional conduct is essential in line with established protocols.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 2 years' experience as an operational firefighter with a reputable organization. You should be physically fit and able to respond to fire incidents and emergencies effectively.

Familiarity with fire alarm and suppression systems in large buildings or aviation environments is highly desirable. Good knowledge of fire safety regulations and relevant codes of practice is also essential.

You must be attentive, reliable, and able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Additionally, you should be able to operate inspection tools, tablet computers for reporting, and communication devices, and possess good communication and teamwork skills.

Additional certifications in fire safety, certification, or related fields will be advantageous.
