About the Role

As a senior associate engineer, you will be responsible for managing fiber cable diversion works, including those in conjunction with road diversion and major government agencies. You will also oversee technicians and contractors to execute all access fiber cable works in accordance with established operation procedures and engineering instructions.

This role requires strong project management skills, as well as technical expertise in fiber splicing, termination, and testing. You should be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, adapting to various work environments and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma in engineering or a related field, along with minimum two years of experience in fiber optics installation and maintenance. Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance is essential, as is proficiency in project management and documentation.

You will be expected to supervise contractors and manage staff on fiber splicing, termination, patching, and testing for all cable diversion works. Additionally, you will need to liaise with internal parties on fiber implementation issues and be well-versed in fiber equipment for fiber cable troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage fiber cable diversion works, including those in conjunction with road diversion and major government agencies
