Are you a quality enthusiast looking for a challenging role in a dynamic company? Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our team

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all components delivered from suppliers meet our manufacturing specifications and company standards. You will work closely with suppliers to implement quality requirements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure suppliers understand our quality requirements and implement them accordingly
* Conduct incoming inspections to ensure compliance with product quality and safety requirements
* Drive supplier continuous improvement initiatives to achieve company goals
* Supervise QA inspectors and technicians
* Develop and deliver training programs for quality tools and procedures
* Train suppliers on quality requirements and ensure they are aligned with our inspection/testing methods
* Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve quality issues
* Participate in product or service design reviews to ensure quality requirements are identified
* Ensure smooth transitions when changes occur in suppliers (e.g., engineering changes or firmware changes)
* Monitor supplier performance and track quality metrics
* Handle supplier process validation and maintain supplier approval lists
* Review supplier material non-conformance dispositions and implement corrective and preventive actions

Requirements:

* Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control activities
* Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T)
* Good understanding of ISO 9000 QMS

Preferred qualifications:

* Diploma or degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or quality engineering or related field
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well with all levels of staff
* Knowledge of statistical tools and computer software (Microsoft Office)
