Job Title: Strategic Sustainability Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled leader to join our team as a Strategic Sustainability Leader.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our sustainability efforts, developing and implementing strategies that drive business growth while minimizing environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sustainability Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies that align with our business goals.
    • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and manage a team of professionals in sustainability-related roles.
    • Mentor and develop team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Clients and Stakeholders:
    • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS AND STAKEHOLDERS TO UNDERSTAND THEIR NEEDS AND PREFERENCES.
    • COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH CLIENTS AND STAKEHOLDERS TO ENSURE THAT OUR SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS ARE MEETING THEIR EXPECTATIONS.
  • Industry Expertise:
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments in sustainability.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and growth in sustainability-related areas.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
    • PARTNER WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in banking (energy/project/sustainable financing).
  • At least 10 years of proven leadership track record and expertise in corporate client-facing role including sustainable finance and solutions.
  • Strong exposure to 'hard to abate' sectors and relevant clients.
  • Strong business acumen and drive to ideate, originate, build client trust.
  • Proven ability and track record to coordinate, lead and execute financing solutions across multiple teams at a large corporate level.
  • Experience working in financial institutions and/or having in-depth environmental and social due diligence experience.
  • Possess professional and interpersonal skills to establish good rapport and working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
