Cloud Security Specialist - AWS Vulnerability Management

Job Description:

You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities within our AWS infrastructure to ensure the security and integrity of our cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability tests on our AWS services to identify potential threats and weaknesses.
  • Implement best practices in AWS security, including configuring security groups, IAM policies, monitoring tools, and maintaining VMS apps e.g. Tenable.
  • Develop and maintain automated scripts for vulnerability scanning and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address vulnerabilities promptly and effectively.
  • Stay current with the latest security trends, tools, and AWS features to enhance our security posture.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and reports on findings and remediations for management and compliance purposes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in cloud security, particularly within AWS environments.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with Tenable AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
  • Experience with security vulnerability tools and platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant AWS or RHEL certifications are advantageous.
