**Job Description**
- This role involves assisting in debt collection and following up on overdue accounts, ensuring timely payment from customers.
- You will be responsible for preparing regular and monthly credit-related reports for the finance manager or head of department, providing insights into collections performance.
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies related to non-payment of invoices, working closely with internal stakeholders to rectify issues.
- Conduct aged balance reviews with the finance manager or head of department to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Apply best practices in collections, utilizing relevant strategies to enhance effectiveness and drive results.
- Recommend improvements to credit risk measures, controls, and processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate new credit requests and conduct thorough client credit checks to minimize risks.
- Suggest and implement terms of credit for new clients, maintaining a healthy credit portfolio.
- Negotiate payment plans and collect outstanding debts from clients, prioritizing effective communication and relationship-building.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries, addressing their concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
- Liaise with internal and external customers to foster strong relationships, promoting trust and confidence in our services.
**Requirements**
- Diploma holder in Finance or a related field would be an advantage.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in credit control, with a proven track record of successful debt recovery.
- Able to deal effectively with clients in debt collection situations.

- Strong analytical skills to assess creditworthiness and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
