Procurement Pharmacy Assistant

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Pharmacy Assistant to assist in the procurement of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and consumables for our pharmacy team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the procurement of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and consumables to ensure timely availability for patient care.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers on quotation requests, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
  • Verify and receive incoming stock against purchase orders, checking for accuracy, quality, and expiry dates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procurement activities, including invoices, purchase requisitions, and supplier records.
  • Monitor stock levels, track usage trends, and provide support in forecasting to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies in the stock management system.
  • Provide administrative support to the pharmacy department, including filing, data entry, and report preparation.
  • Support pharmacists and technicians in ensuring that procurement activities align with patient safety and operational needs.

Requirements: Prior experience in doing procurement for medications and strong analytical skills.
