Job Title: Care Support Professional - Elderly Residential Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team at Bright Hill Evergreen Home as a Care Support Professional in Elderly Residential Care.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering meaningful activities to residents, promoting their autonomy through support with daily living tasks, and collaborating with colleagues to provide quality care services.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement activity schedules to engage residents and promote learning;
  • Support residents with daily living tasks such as dressing, meal preparation, toileting, and personal hygiene, using appropriate levels of prompt or cueing;
  • Collaborate with therapy teams to optimize resident functions in daily living;
  • Maintain cleanliness of wards by performing general housekeeping duties, including equipment, furniture, and tools cleaning, crockery maintenance;
  • Assist with meal setup and serving, ensuring timely and safe food delivery to residents;
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of care services, including vital signs monitoring for residents;
  • Document resident progress accurately and maintain records accordingly.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as we welcome entry-level candidates with a caring attitude;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, maintaining good communication skills;
  • Able to physically support the needs of care residents, being fit and capable of handling the demands of the role;
  • Hold a WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or equivalent qualifications, which would be beneficial;
  • Able to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals, utilizing strong oral communication skills.
Benefits:

Our comprehensive compensation package includes an estimated annual salary of $45,000 - $55,000, depending on your level of experience. This figure takes into account industry standards and the cost of living in our area.
