Job Title: Mechanical and Electrical Specialist

As a Mechnical and Electrical Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of harbour crafts. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and take on new challenges.


Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery onboard PSA Marine harbour crafts. You will also be required to liaise with Fleet Operations team on breakdown reports and harbour crafts status. Additionally, you will perform lathe machining, basic gas welding, and cutting works to facilitate repair to machinery, assist in lifting activities, forklift operation, confined space assessment, and perform proper disposal of used oils and chemicals.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least a Nitec in Marine Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • A valid Class 3 driving license and MOM accredited certifications such as SSIC, Safety Supervisor, Lifting Supervisor, Forklift Driving
  • Prior experience in performing mechanical fitment, basic gas and TIG welding, hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting (for Mechanical candidates)
  • Good knowledge of electrical and instrument systems and familiar with electrical schematics diagrams and symbols (for Electrical candidates)
  • Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for a senior position
