Marine Craft Maintenance Specialist

Key responsibilities of the Fleet Engineer include organizing, leading and deploying a team of specialists to perform maintenance and repair work on machinery and equipment onboard marine crafts. The role also involves updating management teams on daily manpower deployment, coordinating with fleet operations teams for repair and maintenance tasks, and providing feedback on readiness for operations.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation and new projects within the fleet, reviewing inventory and recommending stock spares for maintenance and repair work, planning and monitoring maintenance schedules, and engaging external stakeholders for scheduled docking and project management.
- Key Deliverables:
- Effective deployment and supervision of the specialist team.
- Successful completion of routine and emergency maintenance tasks.
- Regular reporting and communication with management teams.
Requirements
To succeed in this position, applicants must possess at least a bachelor's degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent fields. Additionally, cross-discipline knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering domains is required. Familiarity with electrical systems, schematics diagrams and symbols is also essential.
