Job Title:
Community Intervention Specialist

About the Role:
Clinicians work with individuals, couples, families and groups who are experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties to help them bring about effective change and/or enhance their wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Case Management and Intervention
  • ">
  • Work with clients and families to identify needs and develop interventions to address these.">
  • Conduct therapy with clients and families according to the program specifics and client goals.">
  • Advocate for clients' needs and resources, contributing to efforts to enhance their wellbeing at the societal level.">
  • Operate helplines to provide brief support and counselling to callers in distress.
Professional Development and Leadership
  • ">
  • Build competencies through reflexive practice, supervision, and training to benefit those served.">
  • Contribute to team knowledge through presentation sharing.
Program Development, Implementation, and Evaluation
  • ">
  • Develop intervention programs tailored to community needs.">
  • Plan lesson plans and prepare materials required for programs.">
  • Collaborate with staff to evaluate and improve intervention effectiveness.
Other Responsibilities
  • ">
  • Advocacy: Promote awareness of existing services at events and network with other agencies.">
  • Assist with other ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements:
  1. Master's degree in a recognized counselling discipline.
  2. 1-2 years of experience in the relevant field is preferred.
  3. Registration with the Singapore Association for Counselling is preferable.
  4. Basic understanding of counselling theories, modalities, and skills.
  5. Strong case conceptualisation skills.
  6. Knowledge in parenting-related topics/modules.
  7. Effective programme delivery and presentation skills.
  8. Facilitation skills in group settings.
  9. Research, planning, and organisational skills.
  10. Ability to engage with youths, children, and families.
  11. Self-driven with a keen interest in learning and taking on new responsibilities.
  12. Attuned to client interests and social causes.
