Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Futures and Derivatives Clearing Officer. This role is part of the Citi Markets Operations team, responsible for supporting collateral optimization through treasury management, exchange and broker margin calls, as well as T+1 Reconciliations & Controls.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial operations, with experience in linked futures and derivatives clearing. They will be able to work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include daily monitoring and processing of exchange, central clearing house margin calls, creation and input into associated metrics to enable productivity measurement, liaison with Finance teams regarding applicability and validity of monthly Adjustments, execution of collateral asset movements and associated monitoring, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and effectively to a diverse audience. They will also have a proven track record of resolving issues efficiently and effectively, with a strong attention to detail.

Additionally, they will be able to build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, treasury, and finance groups, and have experience with futures products from the perspective of a Clearing Broker, Exchange, or Buy Side.

As a key member of our team, the Futures and Derivatives Clearing Officer will play a pivotal role in helping to support the lifecycle of a trade, focusing on controls, reconciliations, and treasury management. They will develop a broad and detailed understanding of the organization's landscape, culture, processes, and Technology.

They will also have the opportunity to recommend creative suggestions on how to improve processes to minimize losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risk better serve our clients. The role requires the ability to work autonomously and as an effective team member, with a Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Financial Organization i.e. Investment Banking / Investment Management / Hedge Fund / Exchange
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of resolving issues efficiently and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams
  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance
