Job Title: Residential Care Manager

At Singapore Children's Society, we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and youth to thrive. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Care Manager to lead our Residential Care Team in delivering high-quality care and support services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development and implementation of residential care services that promote the physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and moral growth of our residents.
  • Supervise and support residential care staff in providing trauma-informed care, using TI-PBIS strategies and tools.
  • Lead in the review, planning, and implementation of daily programs and activities that nurture the well-being of our residents.
  • Coach residential care staff in developing and implementing individualized care plans to achieve well-being targets.
  • Ensure close communication among stakeholders, including residents, families, schools, volunteers, and other professionals, to promote the safety and well-being of our residents.
  • Provide training and guidance to residential care staff in providing specialized care for residents with special needs, self-harming behaviors, suicide ideation, and other challenging behaviors.
  • Lead planning, coordination, and reviewing of structured programs for life skills learning.
  • Guide Anchors and assigned staff in planning and execution of meaningful activities for skills and values learning.
  • Review staff orientation, onboarding, and training support for new joiners in the residential care team.
  • Oversee the residential care team in areas of staff well-being, job performance, and professional development growth.
  • Review and implement a structured competency framework to monitor and evaluate individual competencies of residential care staff.
  • Review and implement a tiered training roadmap for residential care staff to support their job roles and functions.
  • Conduct regular training and discussions to facilitate learning and development via group platforms.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including supervisory and staff development roles.
  • Able to work flexible hours.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with children and young persons with trauma history and/or offending behavior preferred.
  • Proficient in English and a second language.
